Circular hike with interesting stations all about renewable raw materials and their energy utilization in electricity, biofuels and heat. Can also be used as a cycle tour.

The tour is designed as a circular tour and you can join the tour at any point. The description starts at the Clausnitz stop. From here, follow the hiking trail (white-yellow-white markings) uphill towards Geleitstraße. After approx. 200m, the path turns left uphill. Our first stop is straight ahead here (pasture cultivation). Continue uphill in the direction of Geleitstraße. The stables of the agricultural cooperative can be seen from afar on the hill. At the entrance to Geleitstraße, an information board points out the various energy stations (liquid and solid biogas plant, biogas cogeneration plant and rapeseed oil mill). Take the time for a detailed tour of the site. The tour continues along the road and the village road to Clausnitz, from here following the white-red-white markings through the village. Shortly before the church, we turn right onto Willy Häusler-Weg. After approx. 800 m, we reach the field where Szarvasi grass is grown. Continue uphill to the Alte Poststraße. Pass the rapeseed oil filling station and follow the Alte Poststraße in the direction of Sayda until the Kammweg crosses it. Continue along the Kammweg back towards Clausnitz to the next stop at the former Rachelköhlerei. Here you will find the cultivation site for the "continuous silphia", a versatile fodder and biomass plant. The tour continues on the ridge path along the Rachel to Clausnitz. After crossing the road, the route continues to the left on the white-yellow-white marked local hiking trail downhill to the biogas plant. From there, continue along the settlement road past the forestry site to the last stop, the farm store of the Bergland Clausnitz agricultural cooperative. After a visit, return along the white-red-white marked hiking trail to the Clausnitz stop.
