Bike route through the European city Görlitz/Zgorzelec

Start the bike route at the Altstadtbrücke and cross the bridge to Zgorzelec/Poland. You will ride along the Neisse River to the Stadtbrücke and past the Dom Kultury. Then continue along the main street to the STALAG VIII A memorial. On the site of the former prisoner-of-war camp STALAG VIII A, a European place of remembrance and encounter has been created through German-Polish cooperation.
Then head south towards the Polish village of Radomierzyce/Radmeritz. There is the border crossing back to the German side. Follow the signs for the Oder-Neisse bike route to Görlitz. On the way, you have the opportunity to make a stop at the bucket-wheel excavator in Hagenwerder and the Neisse viaduct in Görlitz. From the bike path, you have a magnificent view of the masonry arch bridge connecting Görlitz and Zgorzelec in Poland.
Nearby, you will pass by the Obermühle along the Oder-Neisse bike route. Here you can take a break and relax. A little off the Obermühle is the Landskron Brewery. During a tour, you can learn interesting facts about beer brewing and, of course, also taste the beer. A detour there is definitely worth it! The bike route ends again at the Altstadtbrücke.
