Challenging circular route to the Schöneck districts of Eschenbach and Gunzen with their typically rural character, but also beautiful views over the upper Vogtland.
From the "Alter Söll" viewpoint in Schöneck, the start is below the church, turning left towards Eschenbach. Passing the war memorial from the Thirty Years' War, you pass two beautiful half-timbered houses at the village entrance. After a few meters, turn right uphill where a first view of Schöneck opens up. On the opposite side of the forest lies the district of Gunzen. However, before reaching the nearest target, the path leads through Eschenbach. Always uphill on the right, beautiful views over the upper Vogtland open up again and again here. On varied forest paths, the route leads left into the Zwota valley (crossing the railway tracks). At the Oberzwota signpost (bike path connection), keep left and follow the Wolfsbach path back to Schöneck.
