At the same time, the paths are well suited for blind hiking enthusiasts or people with visual impairments.

Especially the trail network eastwards (Kottenheide, Muldenberg reservoir) offers opportunities for wheelchair hikes of various lengths.

The Meilerhütte is a central point crossed by the majority of hiking routes. Taking a snack is possible for people with mobility impairments. However, no accessible toilets are available. Neither in terms of accessibility (several steps) nor facilities. An accessible toilet can be found in the hiking and cross-country ski lodge.
