Through the Metschwald forest, the hiker continues from the Triebes outdoor swimming pool towards Mehla and can enjoy the idyll of nature. In addition, the path leads past the "Kranich" settlement, which played an important role in color production until 1937. The "Friedrich Pratzer & Co. Paint Factory" was based in Triebes at that time and extracted various colors from the surrounding rock. For example, black color could be obtained from the slate rock near Kranich and ochre from the clay pit near the cemetery. What could the shades of green be made from?
