The start is at the parking lot at the Marienberg town hall. From there, the route passes the former shaft "Vater Abraham" to the visitor mine Pferdegöpel. Across the Lauta meadows, you reach a gentle ascent up to the Drei-Brüder-Höhe. The local observation tower offers a magnificent panoramic view. Going downhill, the route crosses the B171 and leads into the wooded cycling and hiking area at the Mooshaide up to the Bergmagazin with the "Saxon-Bohemian Ore Mountains Museum." Here, the cycle path "Am Schlettenbach" branches off and leads back to the Marienberg city center with the historic town core in the Renaissance style, over the large square marketplace.
