Starting in Altenburg, the 54 km long cycle path leads via Gnandstein and Bad Lausick to Colditz.

The route between Altenburg and Colditz is suitable for cycling enthusiasts due to its varied landscape. The start is the former residential city Altenburg with its Playing Card Museum and the impressive castle complex. After about 14 km we reach Gnandstein, where a visit to the Romanesque castle from the 13th century is worthwhile.

The route leads through the town of Frohburg, which is mainly known for its castle and museum. The next town we encounter is designated as a thermal spa. Bad Lausick offers its guests relaxing hours in the spa and leisure pool Riff, so a longer stay is also recommended.

The destination of the cycling route is Colditz, the town delights visitors with Colditz Castle and the Escape Museum.
