The ski touring trail leads from Altenberg to Oberbärenburg - passing the famous Altenberg luge and bobsleigh track.

The start is in Altenberg at the trail entry campsite. Here the ski touring trail runs parallel to the B170. At the turnoff to the sports complex, you must cross the street and then turn left towards Riesengrund. Shortly afterwards, take the Bornweg to the left and follow it to the end. Then turn left onto the clearing and after 250 m turn right onto the Bauweg. Follow this to the end. Then cross the street and continue on the Marienweg to Oberbärenburg.

Info:

A ski touring trail exists when it is recognizable and passable as a path, clearly signposted and marked on maps. Ski touring trails are usually only tracked when there is high demand and the operator has the possibility to do so. Visitors have no entitlement to this.

Please note that the same path is also used as the winter hiking trail.
