On this route, Duchess Sidonie will accompany you on a walk through the forest town of Tharandt up to the town and mountain church "Zum Heiligen Kreuz".

You will meet the last resident of Tharandt Castle, Duchess Sidonie, who as the Bohemian king's daughter Zedena sealed one of Europe's oldest borders between Bohemia and Saxony through her marriage. After a short walk from the starting point through the forest town of Tharandt up to the town and mountain church "Zum Heiligen Kreuz", you will be awaited by her. Once at the top, she will tell you exciting stories about her origin. After visiting the church, Duchess Sidonie will lead you to the romantic castle ruins. There, listen to the stories about historic Tharandt.
