I am Wurzelrudi, the mascot of the region around the Mount Auersberg. I would like to invite you to a voyage of discovery to the Embroidery Museum Eibenstock.

Let's find out together how a young woman in the year 1775 helped the people in the region to jobs and sustenance by teaching the women and girls the art of hand embroidery. Years later, this craftsmanship should help the city of Eibenstock to achieve world fame. I would like to show you how clever people finally invented machines to be able to produce these embroideries even faster. You can see a hand embroidery machine from the year 1860, a Pantograph embroidery machine from the year 1883 as well as an automatic embroidery machine as it was used in 1910. But the best thing is: I will demonstrate all these machines to you. And those who are especially daring can even turn on or off one machine or another by themselves.
