At 15 percent, the salt lake has one of the highest concentrations of brine that can be experienced indoors in Germany. The brine spa is complemented by a light and sound bath, a Vogtland Hutznbad and a sauna world with indoor and outdoor saunas. In total, guests can experience the phenomenon of brine on two floors and around 4,500 square meters of recreational space and escape from everyday life. The brine spa is fed by its own brine spring in the Elster Valley. This springs from a self-contained primeval sea that has been hidden and protected in the earth for millions of years. The highly mineralized water from a depth of 1,200 m has a high sodium sulphate and chloride content and is unique in its composition and concentration.
