The Evangelical-Lutheran Peter-Pauls-Kirche in Sebnitz is primarily known for its stunning images and colorful artwork: The wooden coffered ceiling dated back to the year 1619 is covered with 88 sinisters and ornaments. Besides, the distinctive features of the church are impressive paintings on the balustrades of the two-story galleries in the craft – 55 paintings of biblical scenes of both the Old and New Testament. Last but not least, the paintings of the wooden renaissance pulpit should be mentioned. Another feature worth mentioning is the shadow play of the Sebnitz church dated back to 1910: The historical paper cuts are illuminated and equipped with a pivoting mechanism.
