Chemnitz Industrial Museum-Saxon Industrial Museum

At a glance

In the Chemnitz Industrial Museum, milestones from three centuries of industrial development can be discovered and partly experienced in demonstrations

The highlights include exhibits that can be experienced in operation, such as the transmission-driven locksmith workshop, historic textile machines or industrial robots from this century.

A rarity is the still functioning single-cylinder back-pressure steam engine from 1896, which is demonstrated several times a year. In addition, vehicles from legendary brands and inventions "made in saxony" testify to the innovative spirit and engineering achievements of the Saxons.
