Not far from the gates of Chemnitz lies the enchanting Baroque ensemble of Schloss & Park Lichtenwalde. In the warm season, the palace garden, with its floral splendor and romantic water features, is a poem. Inside the palace, exciting collections featuring treasures from all over the world and spectacular experience exhibitions delight the spirit year-round.  The Treasure Chamber Museum located in Schloss Lichtenwalde presents exhibits from distant cultures, some of which are several thousand years old and of inestimable cultural and historical value. These include art and ritual objects from Nepal and Tibet, as well as porcelains, lacquer works, furniture, and silk embroidery from China and Japan. Wooden and ceramic sculptures that testify to the ancestral cult and belief in spirits in West Africa are displayed. The small permanent exhibition "800 Years of Light in the Forest" offers exciting insights into the eventful history of the historical site. Make your way there and immerse yourself in a fascinating world of precious treasures.
