Martin Engelmann - The Wisdom of the Maya

"The Wisdom of the Maya" is a fascinating live film report by Martin Engelmann, in which the National Geographic photographer has been following the trails of the last descendants of the Maya - the Lacandon - for over a decade. In a world where time seems to stand still, Engelmann dives deep into myths, rituals, and legends, documenting with impressive images the life of a unique culture that is increasingly threatened by modernity.
