In the 18th and 19th centuries, renowned publishers and printing houses established themselves in Leipzig. The eastern part of Leipzig became the graphic quarter of the city. In modern times, a new exciting city district is developing, where many renovations and new constructions shape the landscape. The open intellectual climate and the Leipzig Trade Fair attracted publishers such as Brockhaus, Reclam, Meyer, Baedeker, Seemann, and many others to the city. The eastern part of Leipzig became the graphic quarter of the city. In modern times, a new exciting city district is developing, where many renovations and new constructions shape the landscape. Former publishing and printing buildings have been converted for residential use and complemented by new buildings. The tour will present the graphic quarter in the Seeburg district.
