Neuhausen - the "most beautiful spot in the Ore Mountains" can look back on more than 725 years of history. At the foot of the Customs and Escort Castle Purschenstein, located on the "Alte Salzstraße", the resort was built, which is known far beyond its borders. The imposing Purschenstein Castle still towers over the village today. In and around Neuhausen with its districts Cämmerswalde, Neuwernsdorf and Deutschgeorgenthal can experience nature lovers one of the most beautiful hiking regions in Germany. Pure nature
At the Rauschenbachtalsperre and the adjacent municipal areas some rare animal species are native: the otter and the northern bat, for example. The many native bird species are occasionally joined by the black grouse. In spring and autumn, many Nordic waterfowl rest at the Rauschenbach Dam, so different duck, sawmill, goose and diver species, also the water blackbird. The Green League of Eastern Thuringia has detected 679 butterfly species in the Eastern Ore Mountains, including 570 moths and 96 butterflies. The Rauschenbach Dam is home to brown trout, lake trout, rainbow trout, carp, perch, tench, eel, pike, pike-perch, chubs and roach.

Excellent accommodations, dogs are welcome
The villa was built in 1925 and stands freely on a 3,000 sqm plot in the middle of nature. The view from all windows is wonderful and the two stained glass windows in the entrance area as well as the lovingly and elaborately restored entrance doors show the special charm of the house. Directly from the house it goes into nature. Forest, water and hiking trails can be reached with a few steps. The Rauschenbach Dam, for example, is only 1.5 km away.
The four apartments are equipped according to 4 styles. We offer you the opportunity to bring your beloved four-legged friend.
All four apartments are comfortably equipped for two people. An extra bed per apartment for a maximum of 1 person is possible. In addition to the living room and separate bedroom, a high-quality new (2021) kitchen, a bathroom incl. tub and a hallway or storage room are available. Bed linen and towels are freshly washed. For your pet you can also get a dog basket and bowls. Lovingly handmade "(dog) leash parking" are available in every apartment. Tips and flyers are available from "1st hand" in the reception.
