The historic Schloss-Schänke in Bautzen, built in 1334 and lovingly managed by the Rösner family, is located in the old town center at Burgplatz 5, 100 meters from Ortenburg with its courtyard, the puppet theater, and the higher administrative court. The three-story building without an elevator captivates with its medieval charm and offers views of the city and the side alleys. A terrace and a small front garden are available and can be used if needed. It is a good starting point for bike tours, with attractions such as the Reichenturm, Matthiasturm, Cathedral, the Town Hall, the Cathedral treasury, and other museums within walking distance. The former Stasi prison is a 20-minute walk away. In the surrounding area, numerous restaurants, cafes, bars, and cultural offerings like summer theater or open-air cinema can be found. Pets are welcome upon request; smoking is not permitted throughout the accommodation. Limited parking is available on-site, and a garage is available 300m away for a fee.
