In the once famous cloth-making town of Meerane, where meteorological observations suggest the number of sunshine hours is the highest in Germany, on the edge of a quarter with imposing old factory owner's villas, idyllically located and surrounded by well-kept parks, the Hotel Schwanefeld invites you to relax and enjoy. The historic half-timbered house, once a customs station with an inn and today a comfortable, lovingly furnished hotel, runs directly along the border between Saxony and Thuringia. The century-old trees that surround the area of "Schwanefeld" provide opportunities for relaxation and dreaming.
Because of its location, just a few minutes from the A4 Meerane motorway exit, excursions to the Robert Schumann city of Zwickau, to the card game city of Altenburg, or to well-known tourist cities such as Weimar, Dresden, and Erfurt are readily available.
In our cozy restaurants, we spoil our guests not only with international cuisine but also with typical Saxon and Thuringian dishes. For years, we have been recommended for our culinary delights by the international gourmet magazine "Der Feinschmecker."
In our "Barn," you can spend pleasant evenings by the fireplace in a cozy circle or relax on Sundays with coffee, cake, and chocolate treats from our in-house Saxon-Thuringian chocolate factory. Good Italian cuisine, fun, entertainment, friendly people, and good cocktails, e.g., while playing billiards or bowling, can be found in our Villa "Il Mio." Golf enthusiasts will also find their pleasure at a nearby 9-hole golf course.
Directions:
You exit the A4 at the Meerane exit and follow the signs for B 93 towards Meerane. Leave B 93 at the Meerane/Waldsachsen exit (the first exit on B 93). You will reach a T-junction where you turn right. You will come to a roundabout, which you exit at the third exit, and continue following the road. You will then drive directly toward our Romantic Hotel Schwanefeld. The parking lot is located to the right of the building.
Room Description:
Our guests can stay in 50 rooms (double rooms); all are equipped with shower or bath, WC, minibar, telephone, WLAN, flat-screen TV, desk, and hairdryer. In addition to sauna, fitness, and solarium, we are happy to pamper our guests with a variety of wellness offers.
There are plenty of parking spaces directly at the house.
