Directly on the Malerweg in the midst of a wild romantic valley lies the Rathewalder Mühle, surrounded by the rocky landscape of the Saxon Switzerland, right on the Malerweg and the EB-Freundschafts-Fernwanderweg. Even the first glance hints at the inspiration of the former painters. The terraced beer garden invites you to linger. Under the shade-giving linden trees, the hiker enjoys the snack offerings even more. But the Rathewalder Mühle also offers the right ambiance for corporate events, birthdays, or weddings. A highlight is the mountain church, which nestles high up against the rock.
For overnight guests, the holiday apartment "Jägerklause" and "Sägestube" as well as a simply furnished mattress dormitory for backpackers are available. From here, you can reach the Bastei, the Schwedenlöcher, or the tourist town of Rathen. The local outdoor swimming pool or the rock stage Rathen are also worth a visit.
