The Landstreicher hostel, centrally located yet quiet by the rushing stream, offers you 5 separate holiday apartments in various sizes with a total of 16 beds, as well as a communal room. The Painter's Way leads directly past the house; the train station, Elbe, ferry, and steamboat landing are all within easy walking distance.
The house is particularly suitable for groups. In the communal room, you can have meals together and sit by the stove in the evening. For families, it is advisable to rent two apartments on one floor.
On the first and second floors, there is one small and one medium-sized apartment for 2 and 4 persons respectively, while the large apartment for a maximum of 6 persons is located in the attic. The ground floor has the communal room, alongside a shared dishwasher and a storage room for bicycles, strollers, or similar items available for everyone to use.
The most beautiful excursion destinations in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are easily accessible from Königstein. Many hikes can be started directly from the house, such as to the Königstein Fortress, Lilienstein, and Pfaffenstein. Other destinations are easily reachable by S-Bahn, such as the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz, the Felsenbühne and Bastei in Rathen, as well as the city of Dresden. The 118 km of the Painter's Way open up the most beautiful spots in the Saxon Switzerland for hikers. Its stages can also be completed from a fixed base. They are well accessible by public transport.
A children's playground can be found a few hundred meters away in the town center next to the church, and another is located by the Elbe near the steamboat landing. A travel crib for children and two high chairs can be provided upon request.
