Holiday in the beautiful Ore Mountains - worth a trip at any time of year House Hedwig is a miner's house built around 1700 to create living space for the miners working in various ore mines around Altenberg. To keep heating costs manageable for the harsh winters even back then, the rooms were kept rather small and fitted with small windows typical of the eastern Ore Mountains. Access to the first floor is possible via a relatively steep staircase. In the 1960s, an extension was added, which equipped the house with a larger utility room and a second bedroom. In 1995, extensive renovations and refurbishments were carried out on the house. For example, the roof was redone, parts were converted to electric heating, the bathroom and utility room were completely tiled, and the electrical systems in the rooms used by our guests were replaced. In recent years, furnishings have been replaced in many rooms, the windows in all rooms have been replaced, and the house has been newly prepared. We hope you feel comfortable. However, if you experience any discomfort, please do not hesitate to inform us. Your hosts
