Niederalbertsdorf is an elongated Saxon forest village consisting of the formerly independent places Kleinbernsdorf, Kleinrußdorf, Nieder- and Oberalbertsdorf. The first documented mention dates back to 1349/1350. Kleinbernsdorf was first mentioned in 1222. At the beginning of Niederalbertsdorf, you will find the Koberbach Dam. It was dammed in the late 1920s into a body of water approximately 52 hectares in size and up to 20 meters deep, presenting itself today as a local recreation area. Planning a varied day at the dam is no problem. Whether on a boat tour, at the outdoor pool, or while walking around the dam, you can enjoy active relaxation. You can then end the day in the evening with a visit to the drive-in cinema. For fishing enthusiasts, the "Kober" holds heavy carp and zander, as well as pike, perch, eels, dace, and roach.
