The holiday home Selma is a historic Umgebinde house from the year 1763. This type of construction, characterized by the unique combination of log construction, half-timbering, and solid construction, can only be found in the Upper Lusatia region. The holiday home has been lovingly renovated, continuously maintained, and well cared for by its owner, a master craftsman. In the house, there are 4 apartments, including the three holiday apartments Blockstube, Fritz, and Marie.
The holiday home Selma is ideally and centrally located in the center of Großschönau, right in the core area of the regionally typical and historic Umgebinde houses. Großschönau itself has more than 800 such historic Umgebinde houses, so you find yourself in a huge open-air museum. The Mandau river flows about 30 meters past the house. The paths along the river are ideal for easy hikes and cycling tours through the Mandau marshland. With just a few steps from the house, you can reach a bakery (with bread roll service for our guests), a café, a butcher, and a restaurant - as well as a supermarket that is within walking distance.
For larger groups, there is the option to rent all three holiday apartments. For very large groups, the house can also be combined with our holiday home Hexe, which is located approximately 200 meters from the Selma house.
