Our quaint and romantic half-timbered house is located in the textile village of Großschönau in the beautiful Upper Lusatia. Situated directly in the floodplain of the wild-romantic Mandau and in the tri-border area of Saxony - Czech Republic - Poland. Großschönau is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Upper Lusatia and is known as the gateway to the Zittau Mountains Nature Park. With a comprehensive ensemble of historical half-timbered houses (about 640 in total), our small community is an open-air museum of a special kind. There are stunning houses and a magnificent landscape to discover everywhere. Our large holiday home is located directly by the Mandau, a small river whose murmuring soothes the soul. From the house, one can enjoy leisurely walks, hikes, and bike tours along the Mandau; many paths are paved and suitable for all ages of people and animals.

The holiday home Hexe, with its almost 237 m² of living space, can be booked either as a complete holiday home for 12-13 people or separately divided into 2 holiday apartments: Ornella (ground floor) and Frushi (1st floor). Both units can be completely separated from each other both in the house and in the garden. Our guests also have access to two outdoor whirlpools for 2 to 3 people and two saunas.

The holiday home Hexe was built in 1790 as a classic double room half-timbered house. In the former weaving rooms (block rooms) are now the living room and 2 bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own satellite TV. The bathrooms were completely renovated in 2023. Please note that the ceiling height throughout the house is only 1.85 m in some places, and the staircase to the 1st floor is very steep!!!
