The U Orloje Brewery is part of the Hop and Beer Temple area in Žatec. It is an entertainment and tourist center built in the years 2008 - 2011 in the buildings of the former hop warehouses.
The complex includes the so-called hop light tower, inside which there is a lift with a unique 3D projection. You can also complete the labyrinth of hop sacks, at the end of which a hop surprise awaits. There is a functioning astronomical clock on the facade of the temple. The complex includes one of the oldest Renaissance-style malt houses in the ČR, a monastery garden and the U Orloje restaurant. The uniqueness of the complex is based on the main idea of presenting the tradition of hop growing in the Žatec, Louny and Rakovník regions.
The U Orloje brewery is part of the restaurant, so the 11°, 12° and 13° beers as well as specialty beers are brewed right in front of the visitors and tapped directly from the barrels placed in the restaurant. The restaurant prepares typical regional dishes using the house beer. In summer, you can also sit in the beer garden and enjoy various entertainment programs for young and old alike.
