The traditional Lautergold manufactory, founded in 1734, stands for the production of fine spirits according to traditional recipes. Selected fruits, roots and herbs are processed with great care, combined with exotic spices. Lautergold has established itself as an important player in the German spirits industry.
In the heart of the Ore Mountains, the 290-year-old art of distilling is alive and well. Founded by royal Saxon court laboratory assistants, who were commissioned by Augustus the Strong to find a potion for a long life, the company still combines traditional knowledge with modern distillation techniques.
The Spirits Museum invites visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of herbal liqueurs and distillates. Original equipment, historical recipes and a lovingly tended herb garden tell of the deep-rooted tradition of producing fine spirits. After a visit to the museum, there is the opportunity to taste and buy the various products in the factory shop.
The shop is barrier-free, the museum is only partially accessible.
