Welcome to our family business with heart and passion.
Our inn used to stand in Hubscht, a plot of land between today's Schlutter smithy, the Schumann bakery and the old Gauersche Straße. It was a free and tavern estate until 1914 and belonged to Mildenfurth Monastery. Free and tavern estate because the overnight stay of the carters and hitchhiking were free of charge. Our ancestors did not have to pay taxes for this. The old inn included a hop field, brewery with brewing pan and 20 hectares of land. A brewing and dispensing right was associated with the inn. They brewed the beer themselves. Due to the soft water, it is said to have had an excellent taste.
The inn burned down in 1868. Our great-great-grandfather August Bräunlich then rebuilt the property on his fields, a little away from the old location at the present site.
