26th Erzgebirge Traditional Crafts Days

At a glance

More than 130 workshops, museums, and local associations invite you in. Discover guided tours, interactive experiences, charming markets, and traditional cuisine.

A WEEKEND THAT OPENS DOORS

In more than 130 workshops, museums, and associations across the Erzgebirge, craftsmanship takes center stage. This is a rare opportunity to peek behind the scenes and immerse yourself in centuries-old skills – often hidden, seldom seen, yet always authentic and accessible. Along the way, you'll meet people who share their craft with heart and dedication.

What makes this weekend truly special are the personal, genuine encounters: hands-on activities often invite you to get creative yourself and try out various traditional techniques. And with a range of regional culinary delights, there's plenty to enjoy for the palate, too.

PLEASE NOTE:

Not all venues are open on both days. Be sure to check the opening times of individual participants in advance.

MOST EVENTS ARE FREE:

The majority of activities are free of charge. Some formats – such as workshops, expert talks, or museum visits – may require a small fee.

PLANNING TIP:

Events are spread throughout the entire Erzgebirge region. To enjoy the variety at a relaxed pace, we recommend focusing on one specific area.
