Winter hiking - around the Markersbach upper reservoir

Circular tour around the Markersbach upper reservoir. From the Hundsmartereinkehr parking lot, turn left along the upper basin to the Hundsmartertrasse. Continue via the Flössbahn and then Nitzschhammerstraße along the Kleine Mitweida stream to the Ferienhotel Markersbach and back to the parking lot.

The tour can be split up or extended:

From the parking lot to the Hundsmartertrasse and back approx.3km, From the parking lot to the Flößbahn and back approx. 9km, From the parking lot to the Ferienhotel Markersbach in the opposite direction and back approx. 8km.

The Ferienhotel Markersbach can also be chosen as the starting and finishing point.
