You can look forward to a small walk to the original founding location of the city of Görlitz with visits to Peterskirche, the Holy Sepulchre, and Nikolaifriedhof.

The route takes you from Peterskirche along the Via Dolorosa into the oldest part of the city - Nikolaivorstadt - to the Holy Sepulchre and back.
During the walk, you will pass Nikolaiturm, which was part of the city's old defense system. Next to it is Nikolaizwinger with parts of the old city wall.
During the walk, you can visit Nikolaifriedhof, where the mystic and theosophist Jacob Böhme, the most famous son of Görlitz, has his gravestone. Not far from the cemetery is the Finstertor, the last existing city gate of the city. It was first mentioned in 1455 as "Gate by the gravedigger." The adjacent half-timbered house was the residence of the executioner from 1571. Due to his dishonorable profession, he had to move outside the city gates. The so-called Executioner's House today bears the inscription "1666 - L.S.B.", referring to the executioner Lorenz Straßburger of that time.
