From the school starting point, walk towards the end of the village. This is where the yellow markings begin. If you follow this, you will be rewarded for your efforts with many beautiful, boundless views. The path leads uphill along the Rothenbach stream via the road. Cross the road at Satzunger Straße and follow the "Horizontalweg" through old beech trees. At the end of the southern ring road, you can enjoy a view of the village and return to the village. Here you follow the Oberer Weg in the direction of Oberschmiedeberg. Follow the so-called LPG road uphill to the Steinberggut and from there to the Mühlbaum natural monument. You reach the forest again via the ridge and follow the Steinernen Weg downhill to Steinbach.
