The hike starts at the Bergbauverein clubhouse and takes you along Parkstraße and Erzengelweg to Rondell-Bockau. Turn right and cross the Mulden bridge to the historic "Rechenhaus" restaurant. Return along Floßgrabenweg and Ricarda-Huch-Straße to the Hammerherrenhaus. Then take Muldenstraße, Brückenstraße, Bockauer Talstraße and Zwitterweg back to the clubhouse. The raft trench and the rake house were important mining facilities and are popular excursion destinations today. The 15.3 km long raft trench, built in 1559, meets the Mulde at the rake house.
