Variants of the Saxon Way of St. James along the Franconian Road start in Königsbrück and in Jahnsdorf (St. Anna's Pilgrimage Route), from Annaberg-Buchholz (Silberberg Way of St. James) and from Kadaň (Svatojakubská cesta Krušnohořím). These routes are also the basis for the Erzcamino, which is also signposted in the opposite direction.
The Saxon Way of St. James is marked with the European marking, a stylized shell, in the direction of Santiago de Campostela. The center of the shell indicates the direction of travel.
