The route runs almost the entire way along the International Mountain Hiking Trail of Friendship Eisenach-Budapest. The start of the route is at the Ganzmeilensäule No. 48, which was rebuilt in 2018. It also leads along the newly designed Marienweg. The 15 information boards give you an insight into the past of our region and before the Eibenstock dam was built. In the middle of the hike, you can then look out over the surrounding landscape from the dam wall of the Eibenstock reservoir until you return to the parking lot along the same route.
