30 km around the Eibenstock dam
The 30 km cycle circuit of the Three Dams Marathon is something for every averagely trained cyclist with around 820 meters of elevation gain. The scenic attraction lies in the route around the Eibenstock reservoir, the largest drinking water reservoir in Saxony. Views of the "Erzgebirge Sea" open up again and again along the wooded route. The highlight is the crossing of the main dam wall near the Eibenstock district of Neidhardtsthal. Start at the Bretschneider sports facility in Eibenstock and follow the signs from there! You can download the GPS data from our website. Almost half of the route surface is asphalt, most of it is paved forest paths (approx. 41%). However, there are also short unpaved sections.
Make a note:
Every 3rd Saturday in September, the Drei-Talsperren-Marathon takes place in Eibenstock. Cyclists can race against the clock over 30 km, 50 km or 100 km. Passion and emotion guaranteed in the most beautiful scenery. Information about the event on our website.
