Soft, flowing shapes, relief-like surfaces and sensual structures are the things that fascinate and inspire Philine Görnandt!
With all her senses, the artist discovers the interrelationship between nature and human culture and, recognizing this symbiosis, is constantly motivated to create her own works. These inspiring impressions, experiences and experiences are finally combined, varied and materialized by her. For a long time, Philine Görnandt tried many different materials and then discovered the paper for her work: “It is fine and filigree, translucent, but can also become rock hard and solid. It can be liquefied, created, poured . . . torn, crumpled . . . processed into modeling clay and shaped with it!“ She uses her hands almost exclusively for this.
The exhibition by Philine Görnandt shown in the KunstWandelhalle forms the core of the 10th KunstFest in Bad Elster and presents sculptural objects, wall-reliefs and light bulbs in soft, organic-looking forms, all of which show themselves in a very individual texture and were created in a lengthy process.
