Exhibition of innovative design and craft ideas
Can you make clothes from mushrooms, lichen or algae? Can you make lampshades from rushes? This is what the people brought together by the MADE IN platform are working on. It builds bridges between cultural heritage, design studio, research laboratory and workshop to establish a sustainable circular economy as the norm. Craftspeople, designers and researchers explore the limits of different materials and their processing together, experimenting with functionality and aesthetics. The exhibition at Kulturwerk Schneeberg shows the results of these collaborations, which have been created in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal and Germany since 2023 and are constantly growing.
