Light ride for the final parade to Annaberg-Buchholz

At a glance

The destination of the special train is the mountain town of Annaberg, near the Czech border.

Route: Chemnitz main station - Annaberg - Schwarzenberg - Chemnitz

Christmas time is always the most beautiful time of the year, especially in the Ore Mountains. The destination of the special train is the mountain town of Annaberg, near the Czech border. From Chemnitz, the journey goes via Niederwiesa. From Flöha we then travel along the Zschopau valley, past Zschopau and Wolkenstein to Annaberg. There is plenty of time to take a leisurely stroll through the Christmas market in the district town and, of course, to watch the grand closing mountain parade. The "Bergparade" is an old custom in which there is a parade of miners from all over Germany through the decorated streets of the town. After the visit to the mountain parade, our journey continues through the Christmas-lit Erzgebirge mountains. We will take a short break in Schlettau before continuing our journey via Schwarzenberg towards Chemnitz.
