24h TROPHY 2023

At a glance

Between June and September it's once again: 3 countries - 8 destinations - 21 tours - 892 kilometres and 38,930 metres in altitude. Now also in Oberwiesenthal!

Start of the season in the Ore Mountains - With the spa town of Oberwiesenthal, long-distance hikers can look forward to three tours from 09 to 11 June.

The start of our 24h Trophy series begins with a new destination - Kurort Oberwiesenthal - Comes highly convenient! Here in the Erzgebirge we cross country borders together during the 12h and 24h routes. Are you ready for the first leg of the 24h Trophy Series? With us you might experience your greatest challenge - no matter if in 6-, in 12- or in 24h, but always with the focus of a brilliant finish at the finish.

Border experiences
Starting at the open-air stage in the health resort Oberwiesenthal, the 6h, 12h and 24h walkers cross borders between Saxony and the Czech Republic in beautiful scenery. Framed by the 1215m high Fichtelberg and the Czech Keilberg (Klínovec) at 1244m, participants can expect the healthy mountain air and a magnificent view of the highest town in Germany. The 24-hour hikers can look forward to many highlights on the Fichtelberg plateau - the Fichtelberghaus, the suspension railway, the Peace Bell and the weather station. During the short breaks on the various tours, hikers fortify themselves with regional products and specialities in mountain huts or at the mobile refreshment stations.

The route descriptions and the respective requirements for endurance and skill are described in detail on the 24h Trophy website.

Naturally climate-neutral
For organiser Toni Grassl from Berchtesgaden, himself a trained mountain guide, conscious interaction with nature is a matter of course: "We are out and about in nature with our event, often also in protected areas. That's why we attach importance to waste avoidance and separation, we reduce print products and largely do without plastic at the catering stations." Grassl was able to win Deutsche Bahn as a partner for the event series, which enables climate-friendly travel to all event locations. In addition, the CO² emissions per person are calculated and neutralised through financial support for a climate protection programme in Nepal.
