The Chursächsische Festspiele Bad Elster, founded in 2001 by the then Saxon Minister of State Dr. Thomas de Maizière and GMD Florian Merz, will take place in 2021 in its 21st edition. In addition to Central German and (Chur) Saxon culture of different genres, traditionally outstanding cultural events with a suitable culinary, tourist and health-oriented supporting programme are offered in a unique “Royal Saxon” ambience.
