On the occasion of the 180. The Karl May Museum Radebeul presents 2 April to 3 July an exhibition of the Bilz-Bund für Naturheilkunde e. V. on the life and work of the naturopathist and life reformer.

Alongside Karl May, Friedrich Eduard Bilz was Radebeul’s most popular writer in the 1900s. His most successful book “Das Neue Naturheilverfahren” reached a circulation of several million copies. In addition to the same year of birth and their same social background, the two friends Bilz and May shared enlightenment thoughts and pacifist views. The exhibition presents the rich work of the naturopath Bilz and gives insights into the naturopathic sanatorium and the Bilz bath, which shaped the present-day Radebeul districts of Oberloschwitz and Kötzschenbroda at that time and made known far beyond the borders of Saxony.

The special exhibition was created in cooperation with the Bilz-Bund für Naturheilkunde and the Carl Gustav Carus Medical Faculty of the Technische Universität Dresden.
